Notice of By-Election Nomination

Nominations closed at 2 pm on November 29, 2024, in the municipal by-election for the Rural Municipality of West River, for Councillor in Ward 2.

As of 2 pm the Municipal Electoral Officer had received one nomination and declares Daniel Sud acclaimed as Councillor for Ward 2 - Straitview-Kwitnew Walney (Rice Pt).

Pursuant to section 44.(1) of the Municipal Government Act "at the conclusion of nomination proceedings, (b) where, (ii) in an election by wards, the number of candidates for the vacant offices in a ward equals the number of vacancies, the municipal electoral officer shall declare each candidate in that ward elected by acclamation."
